How many memberships will you offer? The Membership Program will be limited to approximately 250 members.

Why don’t you pay interest during the Start-Up Phase? As we begin to utilize start-up capital to open Vaalbara, we will not be earning any revenues on which to budget for interest payments. While we theoretically could pay interest directly from the micro-loans (i.e. your money), we believe that this course of action would not only be detrimental to the successful opening of Vaalbara, but it would also be contrary to the long-term goal of paying off your micro-loan balance.

What kind of tax implications are there for joining the Membership Program? Like any money market account or other financial structure in which you earn interest on your money, you will likely have to claim that amount as gross income on your tax filings. Ultimately, the tax implications should be limited. We advise you to seek the advice of a certified public accountant or other financial advisor.
